This impressive integrated knotwork is designed to fill the entire outer surface of the upper arm. From the Duleek circle at the top it flows naturally across the muscles to end just above the elbow. As shown in the photo it can be rendered with pointillist dots that give the effect of stone texture. Placing a color behind the knotwork can give the pattern a cohesive wholeness.
