The Eagle of Saint John is one of the four revered symbols of the Evangelists. It stands both for the Saint and for Christ, who is represented as an eagle as he ascended into heaven. I designed this one to be a match with a lion of Saint Mark (available in the cat pages) that served to bracket a pre-existing tattoo. |
