The Lion of Saint Mark is one of the four revered symbols of the Evangelists. It stands both for the Saint and for Christ, who is represented as a lion in his resurrection. I designed this one to be a match with an eagle of Saint John (available in the bird pages) that served to bracket a pre-existing tattoo. |
