In Egypt the Sun God RA had a son named Horus the Hawk, and these eyes are the traditional representation of his all-seeing nature. Usualy shown as one eye or the other, the right eye represents the solar and the left the lunar consciousness. Together they are painted on the prows of boats to guide their way. |
