The pattern shown here as a backpiece is an exact transcription of a rubbing I did with charcoal and paper of a Celtic high cross in a family graveyard near Galway, Ireland. The tattoo can be easily scaled down to fit an arm or leg. The tribal high contrast black graphic style is a hundred years old, ancient and modern at the same time. |
