"How does it work?"

When you decide on a design in this collection of images please proceed to fill out the data required by the order page. Your order will be taken automatically by the Yahoo!Store secure server. The system will process your credit card or PayPal and as long as it's approved, you'll be able to download your images right away.

For a visual representation of what you will receive:
click here to visit the -What Do I Get?- page.

Once your order is approved you will get an acknowlegement by return email. It will say that to see your order you can go to a certain URL. Go there, and it will ask for you to re-enter your credit card number or PayPal info as a way of identifying yourself, and then you can click on a button that says DOWNLOAD NOW.

The zip file will come to you immediately, and contain the line art of the image, color line art (when available), the photo of the actual tattoo as well as a text page of tips and purchase information. The image files are standard jpeg files. and are easy to print, or can be taken to any internet-equipped printshop or cybercafe and downloaded and printed out there. All sales final. If there is a technical problem contact us by email (store@luckyfish.com) to resolve it. The most frequent problem is AOL users being blocked from accessing the order page or receiving files. It can also be a problem if you are using a .edu or .gov or work email that has been fitted with a spam-filter to keep out big files. If that happens and you cannot access the files just email me and I will send you all the files one by one as individual email attachments.

If the design has a complicated color element that we feel is necessary for your artist to reference to replicate it accurately the file will have multiple versions with possible color patterns. These are only included as examples, and you are encouraged to choose other colors to customize the design.

The designs offered here are shown in photographs to give you a clear idea of what they will look like as YOUR tattoo. ALL of them have been installed by the artist, Pat Fish, and were custom designed by her specifically to be effective tattoos.

The line art is NOT shown because, frankly, we couldn't watermark them enough to make it impossible to print them out (in however a teensy and fuzzy form) and we believe it is fair that you pay a small fee to use them as your tattoo design. IF you were to take a fuzzy printout of the photo to your chosen local professional tattoo artist and ask them to recreate the design from it TRUST ME you will have to pay for their time to do so. AND the design will not be EXACTLY the same, because many times it is shown on a curving body part so the photograph shows natural distortions that will take quite a bit of effort to correct to make a stencil.

These designs are hard enough to tattoo correctly when you start with a perfectly symmetrical stencil. Give your artist a good clear pattern to work with and you are ensuring that you will get a better quality result.

So paying a small fee is a nod to the original artist, and you get a Pat Fish design that you can be proud to wear for the rest of your life. Until the establishment of this store these designs were all the exclusive property of the artist, available only to the clients who came to her studio in Southern California. They have never been sold as sheets of flash to tattoo studios, and most have only been tattooed one or two times. They are unique, original, and are an excellent way for you to add to your body art collection with something special you won't be seeing on others.

Because ultimately the quality of the tattoo will depend on who you have install it, Pat Fish recommends you look carefully at the portfolios of the tattoo artists you are considering patronizing and make your decision based on their photographic records. DO NOT be the one they learn on! Because of the huge number of people now entering the tattoo trade, she regrets that she is not able to give personal recommendations for artists in particular geographic areas. You are on your own, caveat emptor, and remember to look for sterile conditions and a congenial atmosphere as well as artistic ability. This is a life-changing decision, and with a good design and careful shopping for the artist to tattoo it on you it will be a life-enhancing event that you will remember with pleasure.

Please enjoy browsing through the available designs, and pick one that best suits your personal style. New designs are added frequently, so bookmark this page and check back to see what's new.
