This spiral vine of shamrocks is copied from a very old gravestone, that I did a grave rubbing off of during one of my trips to Ireland. It has been redrawn into a shape complementary for a lower back tattoo. The three lobes of the shamrock leaf are the Irish symbol of the trinity, in all its manifestations, and is a favorite national image. |
