The triple cat circle comes from an unbelievably small detail in a page of the Book of Kells. I have drawn the tails out and created a matching knotwork band that can make the pattern serve as the central focal point for a complete anklet. It can also be rendered with all three tails curling to a spiral, as a freestanding circle element. This pattern is based on an original design by the talented Welsh artist Jen Delyth, adapted for use as a tattoo. Sold here with her permission. |
